Duane is a major character in The Walking Dead HGRP Edition. He was initially surviving with friends and family on a farm just past the highway.

Pre-Apocalypse

Duane was a combat medic enlisted into the US Army Reserve before the apocalypse. He usually spent his time doing his best at hiding his own psychological profile, or visiting with family, as he was stationed just 30 minutes from home.

When the apocalypse broke out, he went with his best friend, Spencer, to the old farmhouse Duane's father lived at, and they've been stockpiling ever since.

Post-Apocalpyse

Season 3

Duane stumbles upon a shootout at the highway, after he had set up some traps to dissuade an attacking force in the surrounding forest. He helps out Selena, Adam, and Reagan, before they all flee into the forest.

As the Rogues pursue, Duane tries to explain himself to Selena, Adam, and Reagan, but is interrupted by Michael. After a period of questioning, Duane ends up shooting Grishnákh, but misses and hits Reagan instead, which mortally wounds her, had Michael not finished her off beforehand. This causes Michael to try and stab him.

In his attempt to dodge the attack, Duane falls down a cliff into a rocky, dry riverbed, and snaps his neck, killing him.

As Duane dodges a stab attack by Michael, he falls down a cliff during his roll, and plummets down into a riverbed below. The fall snaps his neck instantly.

Personality

Duane was generally a nice guy, but due to mental issues, tended to distrust and end up being temperamental towards others.

Appearance

Duane was a Caucasian male in his early 20's, who wore a pair of brown overalls, and a white shirt. He had brown hair and green eyes.

Abilities

• Medical Practice: Duane is an ex-combat medic, and thus can very easily heal people using his skills.
• Outsmarting/Bluffing: Duane easily outsmarted the Rogues on the highway with a bluff using a simple laser technique.

Weapons and Items

• Modified M16: Duane was clearly skilled with the M4, using it to take down several Rogues, as well as shoot Grishnàkh.

Relationships

Duane did not have any solid relationships during the series, though it can be assumed he was well liked by his family and friends.

Trivia

• Duane was an excuse for Tehblakdeath to have fun with a character who swears like a sailor, but due to a dying interest in Duane's lackluster personality, was killed off purposely.
